The Little Princess
The ‘Little princess’ is a statue of a young lady sitting on the railings of the Danube promenade. It’s one of the most well-known sculpture in Budapest for visitors to take pictures of/with. It was made by László Marton in 1972.
Marton’s oldest little girl used to like playing in a princess outfit and this picture roused him to make this statue. Scarcely any individuals realize that duplicates of this figure can be found in the Hungarian town of Tapolca and in Japan too, before the show lobby of the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space.
